About Us
- QAW (Queer Asian Women) is a Webspace aims to provide friendly environment and useful information by and for Queer Asian Women.
- Queer Asian Women includes those who self-identified as Asian women and also as queer, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, transexual, intersexed, or questioning.
- QAW recognizes that some women prefer to use “Womyn” instead of “Women” to avoid the perceived inherent bias in the words. However, QAW is an on-line community which aims to serve women from diverse backgrounds and therefore we chose the more commonly used “women” for easier recognition and understanding when people search for us on the internet.
- This Webspace has been launched since June 2008 as an initiative of ACAS based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
